KELSI: YOU CAN’T SEE TOO MUCH O THE DAY WAS FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE, BUT JOHNNY MAGIC’S GOOD FRIEND AND LAWYER CAME OUT HERE AND TOOK US INSIDE, WHERE YOU COULD REALLY SEE JUST HOW DEVASTATING THIS FIRE WAS. MARK: YOU CAN SEE THOSE RAFTERS ARE NOTHING BUT ASHES NOW, JUST CHARRED. ALL THIS IS GOING TO COME DOWN. THAT IS JUST TEETERING. KELSI: MARK NEJAME IS JOHNNY MAGIC’S GOOD FRIEND AND LAWYER. AND ON SATURDAY HE TOOK US THROUGH JOHNNY’S HOUSE JUST HOURS AFTER IT WAS DESTROYED BY A FIRE. MARK: APPARENTLY HE AND HIS SON ALEX WERE JUST HANGING OUT AND IT WAS COLD LAST NIGHT IN ORLANDO AS MOST OF US KNOW. AND HE LIT THE FIRE AND A SHORT TIME LATER, HE STARTED HEARING SOME CRACKLING ABOVE. KELSI: MARK SAYS JOHNNY GOT HIS SON AND DOGS OUT QUICKLY, BUT THE FIRE SPREAD TO MOST OF THE HOUSE BEFORE FIREFIGHTERS COULD GET THERE. MARK: YOU CAN SEE THIS IS BEHIND WHAT WE WERE JUST LOOKING AT, AND THE CHIMNEY’S UP THERE. THAT IS GETTING READY TO G DOWN. KELSI: JOHNNY MAGIC HAS BEEN A WELL KNOWN RADIO DJ IN ORLANDO FOR DECADES. AND THROUGHOUT THOSE YEARS MARK SAYS HE’S BEEN AN ACTIVE COMMUNITY LEADER. MARK: HE STARTED THE BABY DJ FUND WHICH HAS GIVEN AND ASSISTED THOUSANDS OF UNDER PRIVILEGED KIDS IN CENTRAL FLORIDA FOR MANY, MANY, MANY YEARS. HE’S ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RUNWAY TO HOPE FOR CHILDREN WITH PEDIATRIC CANCER. MY WIFE AND I FOUNDED THAT KELSI: MARK SAYS THIS FIRE HAS BEEN A HUGE BLOW TO JOHNNY, BUT THANKFULLY THE COMMUNITY SUPPORT HAS BEEN OVERWHELMING. The home of a local radio host is a complete loss after a fire Friday night. Just before 10 p.m, Orange County Fire Rescue were dispatched to the home on French Oak Drive.The home belonged to Johnny Magic, a popular host on the radio station XL 106.7. “Apparently he and his son Alex were just hanging out and it was cold last night and he lit the fire and a short time later he started hearing some crackling above,” Mark NeJame, Johnny’s attorney and good friend said.Johnny, his son and dog were able to get out of the home uninjured. Though the loss of his home is devastating, Nejame says Johnny is touched by the communities support. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help those impacted by the fire.

The home of a local radio host is a complete loss after a fire Friday night.

Just before 10 p.m, Orange County Fire Rescue were dispatched to the home on French Oak Drive.

The home belonged to Johnny Magic, a popular host on the radio station XL 106.7.

“Apparently he and his son Alex were just hanging out and it was cold last night and he lit the fire and a short time later he started hearing some crackling above,” Mark NeJame, Johnny’s attorney and good friend said.

Johnny, his son and dog were able to get out of the home uninjured.
