Nonprofit helps underprivileged children write letters to Santa

A group of kids in Milwaukee are preparing for Christmas like most kids do, by writing letters to Santa.Through the Santa for a Day program, volunteers are helping disadvantaged kids write letters to Santa. The letters are then posted to the Santa for a Day website for donors to see.”Everybody should have a Christmas, right?” Santa for a Day founder Rich Gentile said. “Or a holiday or a celebration. And without people doing this, or without people helping, for a lot it wouldn’t happen.”Santa for a Day is expecting 1,000 letters from children in Milwaukee this year.”Anytime we can make our children happy is a great day,” Ann Wilson with the Milwaukee Housing Authority said.Watch the video above to see the full story.

A group of kids in Milwaukee are preparing for Christmas like most kids do, by writing letters to Santa.

Through the Santa for a Day program, volunteers are helping disadvantaged kids write letters to Santa. The letters are then posted to the Santa for a Day website for donors to see.
