The defense continued to present a different side of the man convicted of shooting and killing two Kissimmee officers in 2017.On Friday, the jury saw images of Everett Miller that portrayed him as a man who was full of life.It continued the defense’s strategy to show what life was before Everett Miller shot and killed Kissimmee police officers Sgt. Sam Howard and Matthew Baxter in an ambush.The defense argued the attack was because of a post-traumatic stress induced rage.The jury heard from Miller’s daughter who said her dad was a military man but when he washome they hung out.They were showed a picture of him with her as a small child and another of him teaching her how to mow grass.”I remember him surprising me and my brother. He came back from deployment early and he came back to our school and checked us out and took us to Kings Dominion in Virginia. That was extremely fun,” his daughter said.The hearing took a dramatic turn when the state attorneys started calling witnesses.Miller’s sister was supposed to talk about the day her brother was found wandering the streets in his underwear waving an assault rifle.But instead, she said she was furious and she did notwant to testify against her brother.”I mean you have harassed me enough. Coming to my house and harassing me and my family with guns and stuff, so what do you want me to get up and say?” she asked.Testimony will begin again on Tuesday.
