WE WANT TO TURN BACK TO THE BREAKING NEWS WHERE INVESTIGATORS ARE SPEAKING. >> DETECTIVES AND OFFICERS ARE WORKING WITH ORMOND BEACH, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FDLE, THE FBI, AND MANY OTHERS, THE U.S. MARSHALL’S OFFICE DACA TO FULLY TRY TO LOCATE — MARSHALL’S OFFICE TO TRY TO ACTIVATE TO LOCATE THE MOM. WE WANT TO CONFIRM CUSTODY, WITH THE SPECIFICS ARE OF THE CUSTODY ORDER. AND WE HAVE ISSUED A WARRANT FOR THE MOTHER OF THE CHILD, THE ABDUCTOR, AND WE HOPE WE CAN LOCATE THE CHILD SOON. WHAT I DO WANT TO STRESS THEM IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE WAS KNOWLEDGE OF THE WHEREABOUTS OF THE MOTHER AND THE CHILD, AND THEY ARE AIDING THE MOTHER AND KEEPING US FROM LOCATING THE CHILD, THEN THAT PERSON CAN ALSO BE IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATE STATUTE AND THOSE INDIVIDUALS WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE IF THEY CONTINUE TO PREVENT US FROM LOCATING THE MOTHER AND THE CHILD. WITH THAT, I WILL TURN IT OVER TO OUR DETECTIVE WHO WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE. >> THANK YOU, CHIEF. GOOD MORNING. LAST, RON 11:45, WE HAD AN ARMED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY NEAR THE SUSPECT, WHO WAS THE MOTHER OF THE CHILD. YET ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL WITH HER AND WE ARE WORKING TO IDENTIFY THAT PERSON POSITIVELY. THEY WERE ARMED WITH A FIREARM. WE HAVE SEVERAL DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS ASSISTING US THIS INVESTIGATION. THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT, THE FBI, THE U.S. MARSHALL’S AND OTHER AGENCIES AND MULTIPLE UNITS WITHIN THE ORLANDO POLICE DEPARTMENT. WE ARE PURSUING THE CRIMINAL ASPECT IN LOCATING THE MOTHER AND ARE PRIORITY IS TO DO EVERYTHING WE CAN TO LOCATE THE TWO-YEAR-OLD CHILD. OUR CONCERN PRIMARILY AS FOR THE CHILD’S WELFARE BASED ON THE NECESSITY OF THE MOTHER’S ACTIONS TO GAIN CUSTODY OF THAT CHILD. AND SO, THAT IS OUR PRIMARY SOURCE OF CONCERN FOR THE CHILD’S WELFARE AT THIS TIME. AS MORE INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE, WE WILL GIVE IT TO YOU. IF ANYBODY HAS INFORMATION THAT WILL LEAD TO RECOVERING THE CHILD OR TO THE LOCATION OF THE MOTHER, WE ASK THAT YOU CALL CRIMELINE OR THE ORLANDO POLICE DEPARTMENT’S EMERGENCY NUMBER. ARE THERE ANY QUESTIONS? [INDISCERNIBLE] >> THAT IS AN EXCELLENT QUESTION. WE HAD ACTIVE INVESTIGATIVE LEADS WE WERE PURSUING, INCLUDING POTENTIAL LOCATION FOR BOTH THE SUSPECT AND THE CHILD. WE WERE FOLLOWING THOSE LEADS AND WE DID NOT WANT TO RELEASE THE AMBER ALERT, AND THEREBY POTENTIALLY NOTIFYING THE SUSPECT WE HAD A POTENTIAL LEAD ON THAT LOCATION. ONCE THAT LEAGUE WAS NO LONGER ACTIVE IS WHEN AMBER ALERT WAS ISSUED. [INDISCERNIBLE] >> I DON’T KNOW HOW THAT PROCEDURE GOES HONESTLY. I COULD NOT TO THE PROCESS AND WHY DID NOT COUP THROUGH ON THE PHONES. >> I DID SEE THE ALERT, BUT I DID NOT HEAR THE ALERT. THAT IS A QUESTION THAT THE OFFICER WILL ADDRESS. >> FINDING THE MOTHER’S LOCATION — [INDISCERNIBLE] >> WE ARE WORKING A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT LEADS IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT UNITS WORKING. THEY ARE TRYING TO LOCATE THE MOTHER. WITHOUT GIVING SPECIFIC INVESTIGATIVE INFORMATION AS TO WHERE THEY ARE WORKING, I WILL SAY AS LONG AS THOSE LEADS ARE ACTIVE, WE WILL CONTINUE TO PURSUE THE LOCATION. [INDISCERNIBLE] >> WE DO NOT HAVE A VEHICLE DESCRIPTION. >> DID SHE HAVE HISTORY? >> THE MOTHER’S NAME WILL BE AVAILABLE. WE HAVE FLYERS FOR EVERYONE HERE WITH THE PHOTOGRAPH OF THE MOTHER AND THE CHILD. THE MOTHER NAME AND THE CHILD NAMED AS ALL THE INFORMATION RELEASED IN THE AMBER ALERT. IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING, I WOULD REFER YOU TO THAT FLYER. [INDISCERNIBLE] >> WE HAVE A LOT OF VERY CONFLICTING INFORMATION AT THE MOMENT. THERE ARE SEVERAL DIFFERENT PIECES OF THE PUZZLE WE ARE TRYING TO PUT TOGETHER. WE ARE ORKING WITH DCF TO FIND OUT IF THERE IS A SPECIFIC SAFETY PLAN IN PLACE, AND WHAT THE DETAILS ARE IN THEIR SAFETY PLAN. AS FAR AS WE CAN TELL AT PRESENT, THERE IS NO COURT-ORDERED CUSTODY IN PLACE. THAT MAY NOT BE THE CASE. WE JUST HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND IT AT THIS POINT. [INDISCERNIBLE] >> WITHOUT BEING FAMILIAR WITH ORMOND BEACH, I REALLY CANNOT GIVE YOU ANYTHING MORE THAN A VERY SPECIFIC LOCATION. [INDISCERNIBLE] >> SHE HAS NO CRIMINAL HISTORY OF VIOLENCE AND THERE ARE NOTHING BUT VERY MINOR ALLEGATIONS, INTEREST OF THE CHILD, WHICH WERE ATTRIBUTED IN SOME WAY SHAPE, OR FORM TO THE MOTHER AND DCF HAS INVESTIGATED THOSE, AND SO FAR FROM WHAT WE FOUND, THERE HASN’T BEEN NO SUBSTANTIATION. JASON: AUTHORITIES HAVE GIVEN US AN UPDATE ON THE MISSING LITTLE BOY. THAT IT’S HIS PHOTO ON TE LEFT, JENZELL CITROEN PEREZ AND LAW-ENFORCEMENT SAYS HE IS WITH HIS BIOLOGICAL MOTHER SHOULD BE PEREZ DIAS AND AT THIS POINT, THEY ARE SORTING OUT THE CUSTODY INFORMATION, BUT THEY ARE CALLING HER A SUSPECT AND HIS OBJECTION AND AN AMBER ALERT HAS BEEN ISSUED AFTER 36 AT A RUN 11:45 LAST NIGHT, THIS WOMAN ADD SOMEONE WITH HER, ARMED WITH A GUN, WENT INTO A HOME AND TOOK THE CHILD BY FORCE. LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES WANT TO FIND THEM AND IF THEY — AND THEY ARE WARNING IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE THEY ARE, OR HELPING THEM HIDE OUT, THEY COULD FACE CHARGES FOR AIDING AND ABETTING. SANIKA: THEY’RE CONTINUING TO INVESTIGATE SEVERAL DIFFERENT LEADS. THIS HAPPENED LAST NIGHT AND ALL THEIR ACTIVE LEADS THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT OF
