After a summer filled with beach time in Mustique, a trip to see Gan-Gan at Balmoral Castle in Scotland and a boat ride to cheer on her parents in the King’s Cup Regatta, Princess Charlotte is finally heading back to school. While she previously attended previously attended Willcocks Nursery, this year she’ll be enrolled at Thomas’s Battersea, with her older brother Prince George.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge accompanied their only daughter on her first day of school this morning, a milestone which was documented by royal photographers. Charlotte looked adorable walking in to class in her new navy blue uniform (complete with a unicorn logo) and her hair in a pony tail. While she was a bit timid in front of the camera, Prince William said she is “very excited” to start the new year.
In May, Kensington Palace officially confirmed the news that Charlotte would be joining the school’s “reception” class, a designation similar to Pre-K in the States. “We are delighted that the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother Prince George at Thomas’s Battersea,” reads a statement by the school’s headmaster, Simon O’Malley about his royal pupils. “We greatly look forward to
