A home burglary was caught on video in Osceola County, according to investigators.An elderly woman was sleeping inside the home as the man moved in and out of her residence, authorities said.It happened at a home on Interlocking Court in Champions Gate in Osceola County.The man entered the gated community and then the home just after midnight on August 9.Video shows the man trying to get through the front door, with no luck.”He fails in getting through the front door and he goes in the back and was able to pry open the sliding glass door in the back,” said Major Jacob Ruiz, of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.At some point, he put on a pair of gloves and was seen carrying out a flat screen TV through the front door.Not long after that, he carried a second flat screen TV.Deputies said all of this happened while the homeowner was asleep.”She is an elderly female, she didn’t even notice the TVs were gone until the middle of day. So it’s when deputies got on scene and reviewed this video, this guy just broke in overnight, when you were home and asleep,” Ruiz said.There was no encounter between the suspect and the resident.”Usually, in an occupied burglary when the victim’s home, that there is some kind of encounter, that makes it for a very dangerous situation, and so we’re thankful that didn’t happen,” Ruiz said.Deputies said the suspect was also captured on video multiple times walking to and from an unknown vehicle in the driveway.He has several tattoos.If you have seen him or know who he is, contact the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
