Police in Daytona Beach are looking for a man who robbed a 7-Eleven and attacked a clerk early Tuesday morning.Police said they don’t think the man had a traditional weapon, but instead used brute force to rob the convenience store. A man was caught on surveillance cutting power to the business on Ridgewood and Shady Place.Authorities said the man then ran into the store, attacked one of two employees inside and then robbed it.According to authorities, the man grabbed an employee and threw him into a window, shattering it.The clerk called 911 and told them the man pulled the doors open and began assaulting him, before making him empty out both registers.The robber then kicked the clerk on to the ground then in the back of the head, the clerk told emergency operators.The clerk told detectives the man had come in to the store about an hour or two earlier to buy a cup of coffee but his credit card was declined and he left. A witness told police she saw a black vehicle pull up directly in front of the doors and a man get out.The injured clerk was taken to the hospital for evaluation. His injuries are not life-threatening.
