Man with no family welcomes community to wife’s funeral after she was killed in El Paso shooting

A man who’s burying his wife of 22 years after she died in the El Paso shooting earlier this month has opened her funeral service to the public. Antonio Basco is welcoming everyone to attend Margie Reckard’s service because he has no other family.Basco said he has no other family, so he is welcoming everyone to attend his wife’s service.Basco told KFOX Reckard will always be his angel. He described their life together as a fairy tale.“I just feel it and when we first met, that feeling came to each one of us, to each other and we’ve been together ever since,” he said. “We were gonna live together and die together that was our plan.”Basco said his wife was selfless and kind.

A man who’s burying his wife of 22 years after she died in the El Paso shooting earlier this month has opened her funeral service to the public.
