A man who has allegedly robbed several local banks has been popping up on surveillance for months, according to investigators.He was captured on video again on Wednesday, but this time, it was as Volusia County deputies placed him under arrest.WESH 2 News looked into how deputies tracked him down.Body camera video from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office shows deputies arresting a man accused of robbing several banks in Central Florida.The arrest on Wednesday marks the end of Jesse Ayotte’s alleged spree of bank thefts, which allegedly started at a Chase Bank on Dr. Phillips Boulevard in Orange County on May 30.The 37-year-old allegedly hit a Regions Bank on South Orange Blossom Trail on July 3.Investigators say his most recent target was a bank in Deltona.Surveillance cameras captured Ayotte at two different banks in Orange County and another in Volusia.On Wednesday, law enforcement license tag readers pinged a vehicle connected to the robberies, alerting deputies and prompting Ayotte’s capture.The accused bank robber is now in the Volusia County Jail facing charges of robbery with a firearm and grand theft.
