ANXIETY. BUT IS IT SAFE FOR YOUR PETS? AND DOES IT WORK? MEREDITH: HADAS BROWN HAS MORE. HADAS: THIS IS MAX. BY HIS OWN OWNER’S ADMISSION, MAX CAN BE NEUROTIC. THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO FIX THAT IN OUR FURRY FRIENDS, BUT LATELY THE BIG BUZZ HAS BEEN , AROUND CBD. THE BRANDS PEDALING CANNABIDIOL FOR PETS CLAIM THEIR DROPLETS OR EDIBLES CAN FIX ANYTHING FROM ANXIETY, TO SEIZURES, TO PAIN. DOCTOR BRUCE BOGOSLAVSKY OWNS ANIMAL VETERINARY HOSPITAL OF ORLANDO. HE SAYS HE HAS HEARD FROM SOME OF HIS CLIENTS THAT CBD HELPED THEIR PETS. ESPECIALLY WHEN HAVE COMPANY. HADAS: DR. BRUCE SAYS, OVERALL, HE WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE RESEARCH. >> I DON’T WANT THEM TO HAVE SOMETHING THAT SAYS HEY I’M GIVING TEN MG BUT ACTUALLY WE’RE ONLY ABSORBING ONE MG AND 9 MG IS GOING TO WIND UP IN THE YARD THE NEXT DAY. HADAS: IF YOU DO CHOOSE TO MOVE FORWARD WITH TREATING YOUR CANINE OR FELINE PAL WITH CBD, BOGOSLAVSKY RECOMMENDS USING THE LIQUID FORM TO GET A MORE ACCURATE CBD MEASUREMENT. HE ALSO SAYS IF YOU’RE A CBD USER YOURSELF, DON’T GIVE YOUR EDIBLES TO YOUR PET. THEY COULD CONTAIN INGREDIENTS THAT ARE TOXIC TO AN
