New Mexico State Police said a 12-year-old girl went on a drunken joyride in her family’s car with three friends along for the ride. Her arrest was caught on camera.Video shows Alamogordo police officers arresting the girls after a dangerous chase on a highway. It started after the car sped past officers who were working on another case.The hourlong chase ended after the driver spun out of control in a dirt lot. Police said all four girls had been drinking and alcohol was found in the car. Officers say the driver waited until her parents were asleep to drive off.”As they were attempting to run the vehicle identification of the plates, that’s when this vehicle took off at a high rate of speed,” Alamogordo Police Chief Brian Peete said. The girls are 12 or 13 years old. They’re all facing charges.

New Mexico State Police said a 12-year-old girl went on a drunken joyride in her family’s car with three friends along for the ride. Her arrest was caught on camera.

Video shows Alamogordo police officers arresting the girls after a dangerous chase on a highway. It started after the car sped past officers who were working on another case.

The hourlong chase ended after the driver spun out of control in a dirt lot. Police said all four girls had been drinking and alcohol was found in the car. Officers say the driver waited until her parents were asleep to drive off.
