Police in Wisconsin arrested the man suspected of spraying an unknown substance in a deputy’s face during a traffic stop.

Police reported 30-year-old Joshua T. Martin missing in Dane County after the incident Monday in Columbia County. Sauk County Emergency Management said Wednesday that law enforcement arrested Martin.

Investigators said after a deputy pulled Martin over, the driver sprayed the deputy in the face with an unknown substance.

Police said they believe the substance was pepper spray.
